Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this use a fixed Balanced allocation instead of letting me choose?
This tool is meant to be a quick withdrawal-rate check, not a full plan — it fixes a 50% equity / 30% debt / 20% FD split with typical India return assumptions. For full control over allocation, taxes, income, and more, use the Retirement Planner.
What do the "withdraw a bit more or less" numbers show?
The same simulation run at 80% and 120% of your requested monthly amount, so you can see how sensitive your odds are to the withdrawal rate — a small change in monthly SWP often makes a large difference to your odds.
Is this the same simulation as the Retirement Planner?
Yes — the exact same 1,000-path Monte Carlo engine, just entered from a "how much can I withdraw monthly" angle instead of an annual expense figure, and with the allocation fixed rather than chosen.
